Kanwal Batool

Kanwal Batool is a member of the Parallel Computing Systems (PCS) group within the Systems and Networking Engineering (SNE) Lab at the Informatics Institute of the University of Amsterdam. She has the privilege of working with exceptional mentors, including Zoltán Ádám Mann, Francesco Regazzoni, and Andy D. Pimentel. Kanwal’s research focuses on Privacy-preserving Machine Learning and Trustworthy AI. She is particularly interested in developing secure mechanisms using advanced cryptographic techniques, such as Homomorphic Encryption and Secure Multiparty Computation, to ensure data privacy. She is also interested in exploring secure software and hardware solutions, with an emphasis on accelerating cryptographic operations at the edge.
